Camp Erin is the largest network of bereavement camps in the country – with 28 camps in 18 states by 2009. Camp Erin is a bereavement camp designed for children and teens ages 6-17 who are grieving the loss of a family member or friend. It is a weekend-long experience filled with traditional, fun, camp activities combined with grief education and emotional support -- facilitated by grief professionals and trained volunteers. The Moyer Foundation partners with local hospice and grief counseling organizations and experts in the communities where the camps exist. The Moyer Foundation wishes to bring Camp Erin to more communities and more grieving children everywhere – because no child should grieve alone.
