Baltimore's Classic Five
Offering Challenging and Affordable Golf to Maryland Residents
Baltimore Municipal Golf Corporation (BMGC) is the nation’s first nonprofit organization dedicated to the management and operation of municipal golf courses. BMGC’s Classic Five courses are Pine Ridge, Mount Pleasant, Clifton Park, Forest Park and Carroll Park.
The organization has a rich history as it is celebrating its Silver Anniversary in 2010. PGA and LPGA Hall of Fame players, Arnold Palmer, Nancy Lopez and Jim Thorpe all began their careers on BMGC’s courses and this proud golfing heritage continues on today. The courses are designed to offer challenging, yet affordable play for players throughout Maryland. Baltimore’s Classic Five stresses fun, and has been providing enjoyable experiences for two-plus decades.

Maroon PR
Maroon PR will work as Baltimore’s Classic Five’s agency of record. In this capacity, the firm will perform a comprehensive communications audit of the Baltimore Classic Five’s existing materials (the company boiler pate, their pro’s biographies, etc.). Maroon PR will also work to spread news about everything the organization is involved in, work to secure media coverage around all their courses and pros, and promote the organization’s golf programs. We will also pitch news revolving around the organization’s history, and promote their Silver Anniversary.
Additionally, Maroon PR will be implementing a Social Media Marketing campaign, utilizing Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, etc. to spread news and reach different demographics. Finally, Maroon PR will create a crisis communication plan; employee and customer code of conduct document; and a rules of play document for Baltimore’s Classic Five to utilize.
