Connie Maroon was a racing greyhound in Rhode Island until the track closed and Carolyn and John Maroon adopted her on June 11, 2010. At under two years old when she was adopted (born 10/8/2008) she raced just three times before the track was closed and she was taken in by Greyhound Pets of America's Maryland Chapter.

Connie's racing name was Mohican Hazel. Now in retirement she has joined the family business and assumes the title of Assistant to the President. Her duties include sleeping, enjoying treats and attending Maroon PR functions from time to time. She showed her commitment in her first week at Maroon PR when she attended the company's Relay for Life event with friends Rocco Richardson and Ox Daley, benefitting the American Cancer Society

She will also make appearances and raise awareness for greyhound adoption, working with GPA (www.gpa-md.com).

Connie resides in Ellicott City, MD with her parents John and Carolyn.
