Current Openings

Seasonal Internships:

Maroon PR offers several internship opportunities throughout the year to current college students and recent graduates in a variety of disciplines, including Media Relations, Social Media, and Graphic Design. Internships are unpaid, however school credit is offered if applicable. See below for additional information on each area and how to apply. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

Media Relations Interns

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting at client events (may be outside of business hours)
  • Building media lists and researching editorial calendar opportunities
  • Promoting client events and news through grassroots marketing and media outreach
  • Pitching local and national media on a client’s behalf
  • Drafting press materials surrounding client events and announcements
  • Compiling client media reports
  • Working closely with social media team for research or joint campaigns as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Must be a current undergraduate student, graduate student or a recent college graduate
  • Available a minimum of three days a week
  • Flexibility to work on weeknights or weekends
  • Relevant experience and/or education in the areas of Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Sports Management, Hospitality or other related fields

 Social Media Interns

Responsibilities:

  • Daily monitoring of client social media accounts
  • Monitoring of trending social media conversations to find timely opportunities for client participation
  • Execution of daily content across various social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest and Google+
  • Social media support during client events
  • Assistance with developing monthly social media reports for clients
  • Assistance with website and newsletter for various clients

Requirements:

  • Must be a current undergraduate student or graduate student with a focus in Public Relations and/or Communications
  • Knowledge of Social Media platforms
  • Energetic and creative mind
  • Writing skills
  • Available a minimum of three days a week
  • Flexibility to work on projects & event outside of normal hours

 Graphic Design Intern

Responsibilities:

  • Completing various design projects including print and digital ads, social media graphics, flyers and brochures
  • Create and manage graphics needed for the Maroon PR website

Requirements:

  • Must be a current undergraduate student or graduate student
  • Experience working in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator
  • Relevant experience and/or education in the areas of Graphic Design
  • Available a minimum of three days a week
  • Flexibility to work projects outside of normal hours

 Video Production Intern

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in video pre-production, field production and post-production, including but not limited to creating graphics and assisting with organizing and archiving projects
  • Assist in post-production video and audio editing projects

Requirements:

  • Must be a current undergraduate student or graduate student
  • Experience working in Adobe Premiere, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe After Effects preferred
  • Relevant experience and/or education in the areas of Video Production
  • Available a minimum of three days a week
  • Flexibility to work projects outside of normal work hours
