Challenge

In May 2008, Maroon PR was hired by two affiliated companies that were undertaking a corporate merger to combine staffs and services to offer added value and convenience for their credit union customers across the country. CRI Systems, Inc. and Premier Solutions Group, Inc. merged to form CRI Solutions, which develops and delivers technology and financial solutions to more than 250 credit unions across North America.

The two companies previously offered a separate suite of services including financial and technology services. The new CRI Solutions would combine all products and services under one roof to create a seamless and simplified process for its employees and customers.

Maroon PR would undertake a campaign that needed to drive national awareness in the credit union industry about the merger and its resulting benefits to customers, while also sharing the entirely new merged corporate name and identity with all company employees.

Strategy & Results

Maroon PR worked with the management team at CRI Solutions to create a timeline of goals and objectives leading up to the official merger date. Throughout the process, Maroon PR managed all internal and external communications surrounding the merger, branded the new corporate entity for CRI Solutions, designed and unveiled the new corporate logo, updated and created new corporate collateral materials, and produced the new website for the merged company. Maroon PR also handled all of the media relations and outreach to announce the new merged company and identity to local consumer and business press, as well as national credit union trade press.

Maroon PR worked with CRI Solutions to create an employee event to unveil the newly designed corporate website, logo and to share the benefits of the merger. All employees received new CRI Solutions corporate gifts with new logos and their new business cards were presented to them at the event.

Maroon PR also used the merger as an opportunity to create and launch a new CRI Solutions Quarterly E-Newsletter to share company and client news with credit union partners, vendors, colleagues and potential new customers. The E-Newsletter has continued to grow in distribution and proven to be a valuable resource in sharing and gathering information from partners.

Maroon PR also worked to design and produce new collateral materials for CRI Solutions reflecting the look of the merged company’s website with a consistent design and overall brand for all materials. Maroon PR also updated all internal and external building signage at the corporate headquarters of CRI Solutions.

Finally, Maroon PR designed new advertising creative for CRI Solutions to unveil its new look on popular credit union trade industry websites. The new web ads and E-Blasts touted the merger, its benefits, and raised industry awareness around the new CRI Solutions.

Maroon PR has continued working with CRI Solutions following the merger to provide media buying, creative design services, marketing support, and ongoing media relations services to maximize awareness around CRI Solutions’ products and services, company news and business relationships.
