Based in Las Vegas, Nevada , the World Series of Poker (WSOP) is the largest, richest and most prestigious gaming event in the world. As a staple event for the best poker players from around the globe, the WSOP attracts participations from more than 50 nations. The tournament, which lasts more than a month, culminates with the WSOP Main Event in which the winner receives a multi-million dollar prize and the prestigious WSOP Gold Bracelet. The 39th annual World Series of Poker took place from May 30th through July 16th at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The final table of the Main Event will begin their play on November 9th. This year’s tournament is a milestone year as it marks the Fifth Anniversary of the WSOP under the umbrella of Harrah’s Entertainment, Inc.
